Infant/Child Electrode Pad Cartridge for the Philips HeartStart OnSite/Home AED. ( Serial numbers beginning with "A")
Child or Infant AED Pads should be stored with an AED and only installed to respond to a child or infant patient.
Children under 8 years of age or weighing less than 55 pounds (25 kg), including infants, should be treated using HeartStart Infant/Child SMART Pads. These pads instruct the defibrillator to reduce the energy of its shock from 150 to 50 Joules (J), a more appropriate dosage. The Infant/Child Pads cartridge is marked with an indication of patient weight and with a teddy bear icon for easy identification.
These Philips pediatric AED pads are for use on persons less than 8 years of age and or less than 55 lbs. Philips AED pads must be replaced after use or once every 2 years regardless of use. An expiration date is marked on the front of the pads cartridge.
